Abstract
The shortcomings of the drugs currently available for the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) and, in particular, their inability to achieve cures have encouraged in the last years the search for different therapeutic approaches to the disease. Based on the high sensitiveness of the myeloma clone to both ionizing radiation and alkylating agents bone marrow transplantation (BMT) has been proposed in selected patients with an HLA compatible donor. Therapeutic results are, however, still preliminary and conflicting: thus, we wish to report an additonal case we have carried out one year ago.
