Abstract
One of the objectives of any theory of plastic deformation based on dislocations must be to explain the origin of fracture and its connection with plastic flow. In particular we have to try to understand
-
a)
Brittle fracture,
-
b)
Ductile fracture,
-
c)
Fatigue.
