Abstract

After oral application of diphenhydramine (I), 2,2-diethyl-allyl-acetamide (II), carbromal (III) and paracetamol (IV) in man, equilibration of drug concentrations between blood plasma and resting saliva was measured up to 24 hrs. The drug concentrations were determined by means of gaschromatographic-mass fragmentographic methods using single-ion-detection (SID) at characteristic m/e values of these compounds (m/e 165 (I), m/e 126 (II), m/e 167 (III) and m/e 109 (IV) after methylation by means of diazomethane).
