Abstract
The enzymes to be considered in this chapter catalyse the transference of glycosyl groups between carbohydrates and related substances. Other donors or acceptors will not be mentioned. For many of these enzymes, the proof of their identities with the corresponding carbohydrases is very convincing, and the reader will usually find suitable preparations and quantitative methods of determining these in the chapter for carbohydrases. The preparations given here are those which have been proven to transfer glycosyl groups. The accompanying table of di-, tri-, and other oligosaccharides does
