Zusammenfassung
Definition. Als Cholinesterasen (ChE)** werden verschiedene mehr oder minder nahe verwandte Carboxylesterhydrolasen bezeichnet, die 1. Cholinester mit höherer Geschwindigkeit als andere Ester spalten und die 2. durch Eserin spezifisch gehemmt werden. Es hat sich eingebürgert, als ChE nur solche Enzyme zu bezeichnen, die durch eine Eserinkonzentration von 10−5 m sehr stark oder völlig gehemmt werden***. Ausnahmen kommen vor. Eine eindeutige Definition ist deshalb unmöglich, da fließende Übergänge zu anderen Hvdrolasen vorkommen.
