Abstract
The karyotypes shown here came from short term blood cultures. The 4th pair of macrochromosomes is heteromorphic in the female ZW and homomorphic in the male ZZ. Both snakes were captured in Brazil, the male specimen in São Paulo. Both are preserved in the Collection of the Instituto Butantan.
