Abstract

I am honoured to be invited to this annual meeting held jointly by the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I am impressed, because Switzerland is to my knowledge the first country ever to hold such a joint meeting. I am happy, because medicine without a psychosomatic foundation and awareness remains incomplete.
