Abstract

In the previous chapter various consequences of X-autosome translocation were discussed. It was revealed that only one particular type of translocation does not handicap bearers of X-autosome translocation. This type persisted in certain species and produced the XY1Y2/XX scheme of the sex-determining mechanism. In this chapter, two unusual sex-determining mechanisms which are produced as a result of Y-autosome translocation shall be discussed.
