Wegen des Auftretens toxischer Bleidämpfe ist die Anwendung hoher Temperaturen, d.h. des Lichtbogenschweißens, nicht zu empfehlen. Wird es dennoch eingesetzt, ist die Verwendung eines Atmungsfilters erforderlich.
