Comparison of various forms of experimental shock

With Special Reference to Experimental Design

  • Chapter
Shock Pathogenesis and Therapy

Abstract

Patients in shock do not lend themselves to more than a minimum amount of manipulation. Therefore, if we are to discover the mechanism that leads to death, and to assess the role of individual components in a complex of factors that are so frequently involved, it is necessary to take the problem to the experimental laboratory.
