Zusammenfassung
Natriumamid wird meist aus Natriummetall und Ammoniak bei höherer Temperatur dargestellt und ist ein weißes Pulver vom Schmelzpunkt 210°. Es ist namentlich in unreiner Form sehr gefährlich, explosiv, daher nur beschränkt versandfähig. Mit Wasser und Säuren zersetzt es sich lebhaft in Ammoniak bzw. Ammoniumsalze und Natriumhydroxyd bzw. Natriumsalze.
