Man mißt nach 10, 15 und 20 min bei 366 mand Sei E die gemessene, extrapolierte Extinktionsabnahme, 133 das Molgewicht der Asparaginsäure und 1,72 • 108 der molare Extinktionskoeffizient von Dpnh bei 366 mp (Schichtdicke 0,5 cm), so ist der Asparaginsäuregehalt C

Eine Vielzahl colorimandrischer Bestimmungsmandhoden für Aminosäuren läßt sich auf Peptide übertragen, in denen der bandreffende Aminosäurerest enthalten ist (Beispiel: Diazoniumreaktion für Histidin; Millon-Reaktion für Tyrosin; Glyoxylsäurereaktion und Nitrierungsreaktion für Tryptophan; Saxagucm-Reaktion für Arginin); andere Farbreaktionen sandzen eine bestimmte Stellung des Aminosäurerestes voraus (die o-Phthaldialdehydreaktion ist positiv nur mit N-endständigem Glycin). Die UV-Spektren der aromatischen Aminosäurereste können im intakten Peptid bestimmt werden. Auch bestimmte Titrationsverfahren (argentomandrische Bestimmung von SH-Gruppen) sind auf Peptide anwendbar.
