Zusammenfassung

Erkrankungen infolge von Herzklappenfehlern haben auf den Lebenslauf der betroffenen Patienten einen einschneidenden, wenn nicht gar bestimmenden Einfluß. Die Verflechtung von Prophylaxe, Erkennung und Behandlung dieser Erkrankungen vollzieht sich nämlich für den einzelnen über Zeiträume von Jahren und Jahrzehnten.
