Abstract

In hamsters experimentally treated with N-nitrosobis(2-hydroxypropyl)amine (DHPN) followed by a diet containing 0.5% deoxycholic acid (DCA), the gallbladder is enlarged and its wall thickened. The serosa is smooth and whitish-yellow. The cut surface shows multiple, whitish-gray, soft projections from the mucosa into the lumen (Fig. 87).
