Formation of Heterocylic Nitrogen Containing Thioxo Compounds with Thiosemicarbazides

  • Chapter
Organische Synthesen

Abstract

The increasing interest devoted to the heterocyclic thioxo compounds having one or more nitrogen atoms in the hetero ring has incited us to discuss critically the various synthesis methods for these useful compounds. A first monography (220) has given an outline of the preparation methods for the heterocyclic thioxo compounds by means of carbon disulfide and bifunctional compounds. In this monography, we are dealing with the different cyclization reactions to which thiosemicarbazides and their derivatives take part and wherein heterocyclic thioxo compounds, having the group in the hetero ring, are formed.
