Abstract

In addition to phospholipases, NO synthases and adenylyl cyclases which synthesize lipid second messengers, NO and cAMP respectively, guanylyl cyclases are also capable of production of the potent transducer molecule cyclic GMP. Two forms of guanylyl cyclase exist a soluble one and a particulate or receptor form.76
