Abstract
The Second International Conference on the Theory of Croups at the Australian National University took place 8 years after the first one, from 13 to 24 August 1973. It was again sponsored by the International Mathematical Union, the Australian Academy of Science, and the Australian National University. There were 127 registered participants (38 more than in 1965), of whom 52 (7 more) came from outside Australia, and represented 13 countries (1 more): Canada, Federal Republic of Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Lesotho, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Switzerland, USSR, United Kingdom, USA.
