Zusammenfassung

Bei der Mehrzahl der Patienten mit Vorhofflimmern oder Vorhofflattern läßt sich eine kardiale oder extrakardiale Grunderkrankung nachweisen. Die Berücksichtigung der Grunderkrankung hat für die Therapie von Vorhofflimmern oder Vorhofflattern besondere Bedeutung. In dieser Übersicht sollen Vorhofflimmern/Vorhofflattern bei folgenden speziellen Krankheitsbildern und Patientengruppen dargestellt werden:

  • ■ Vorhofflimmern/Vorhofflattern bei fortgeschrittener linksventrikulärer Dysfunktion

  • ■ Vorhofflimmern in der Frühphase nach Herzoperationen
