Abstract
Taxales is a small group of plants comprising 5 living taxa and 20 species, included in a single family, Taxaceae (Dallimore and Jackson 1966): Amentotaxus (4 spp.), Austrotaxus, Pseudotaxus (= Nothotaxus), both monotypic, Taxus (8 spp.) and Torreya (6 spp.).
