Neue Entwicklungen in der Wirtschaftswissenschaft

Zusammenfassung

Die gegenwärtige Entwicklung der Arbeitsökonomie ist gekennzeichnet durch die Bereitstellung einer Fülle von theoretischen Ansätzen und Modellen. Der empirischen Forschung insbesondere in Europa ist es allerdings noch nicht gelungen, durch eine kritische Evaluation des Forschungsstandes über Länder und Analysemethoden hinweg die wirtschaftspolitisch relevanten Erklärungsansätze zu selektieren. Sicherlich ist die heutige Arbeitslosigkeit in Europa ein besonderes schwieriges Problem, dennoch ist die Ratlosigkeit und der mangelnde Erfolg politischer Maßnahmen auch in diesem strukturellen empirischen Defizit begründet. Dieses Defizit selbst ist auch eine Folge der mangelnden Verfügbarkeit oder des fehlenden Datenzugangs für die Forschung.
