Zusammenfassung

Die Messung der Blutgase Sauerstoff (O2) und Kohlendioxid (CO2) ist Voraussetzung zur Beurteilung der Atmungsregulation, des pulmonalen Gasaustausches und des Stoffwechsels (O2-Aufnahme, CO2-Produktion). Durch Einbeziehung des pH-Wertes und weiterer abgeleiteter Größen ist die Blutgas-analyse auch für die Beurteilung des Säure-Basen-Haushaltes und seiner Störungen eine unerläßliche Untersuchung.
