Häufigkeit: Das Pleuramesotheliom ist der häufigste primäre Pleuratumor. Während es am Anfang des Jahrhunderts als ein sehr seltener Tumor galt, nimmt seine Häufigkeit in den letzten Jahrzehnten stark zu.
