Zusammenfassung
Ein nach röntgenographischen Untersuchungen an heißgepreßten und 15 h geglühten Proben aufgestellter isothermer Schnitt bei 1200°C weist die Dreiphasenfelder Nb3B2+ NbB +Nb3Al und NbB + Nb3Al + σ-Nb–Al auf. Bei 35 bis 50 Atom-% Al und 5 bis 10 Atom-% B treten zwei ternäre Phasen auf. Bei 1000°C existieren weiterhin die Dreiphasengleichgewichte NbB +Nb3B4+ NbA13 und Nb3B4+ NbB2+ NbAl3. Aus dem Verlauf der Gitterparameter auf dem Schnitt NbB2–AlB2 (s. Original) ergibt sich die Löslichkeit von AlB2 in NbB2 zu etwa 10 Mol-%. Die Umsetzung (Nb,Al)B2+NbAl3→Nb3B4+Al (flüssig) kann als gesichert gelten, W. Rieger, H. Nowotny, F. Benesovsky (Monatsh. Chem. 96 (1965) 844/51, 847/9); vgl. auch H. Holleck, W. Rieger, H.
