Zusammenfassung
Propranololhydrochlorid (PRO) ist in der präoperativen Behandlung der Hyperthyreose etabliert. Die Senkung des T3-Spiegels bei PRO-Monotherapie wird auf eine Hemmung der T4- zu T3-Konversion zurückgeführt; eine unmittelbare Wirkung des PRO auf die Schilddrüse (SD) in vivo wurde bislang klinisch bzw. im Tierversuch nicht nachgewiesen. Das Ziel vorliegender Untersuchung war, Anhaltspunkte eines Einflusses von PRO auf die euthyreote und mit bovinem TSH stimulierte SD zu erhalten.
