Zur Ausrichtung der operativen Prozesse Logistik und Leistungsentwicklung auf die Unternehmensziele sind begleitende Informations- und Koordinationsprozesse erforderlich. Zur Darstellung des wirtschaftlichen Erfolges der Unternehmung werden die Konsequenzen der operativen Anwendungen in Geldeinheiten gemessen. Die Informationssysteme der Finanzbuchführung sowie der Kosten- und Leistungsrechnung stellen differenzierte Auswertungskonzepte für diese Werte bereit, auf denen dann das Controlling aufbaut.
