Zusammenfassung

Methämoglobinämien liegt die reversible oxyda-tive Umwandlung des Hämoglobins in Hämiglo-bin (Absorptionsbande 630 nm) zugrunde, das nicht mehr zum O2-Transport befähigt ist. Es gibt toxische Formen durch Methämoglobinbildner und hereditäre Formen durch Mangel an Me-thämoglobin-Reduktase. Verwandt sind die ebenfalls hereditären Hämoglobinopathien M, bei denen es zur stabilen inneren Komplexbildung kommt. Die verschiedenen Formen der Methämoglobinämien und Hämoglobinopathien M sind hinsichtlich ihrer Klassifikation, Pathogenese und Ätiologie in Tabelle 1 zusammengestellt.
