Abstract
Although some conditions of the anorectal region in childhood resemble those of adult life, many of them are entirely different. A presentation of the lesions most frequently encountered is thus meaningful. These include changes in the perianal skin, acquired disorders such as anal fissures, prolapse of polyps, and some of the causes of rectal bleeding. In addition, malformations and disorders of bowel evacuation will be mentioned.
