Zusammenfassung
Der Gelenkersatz an der Schulter ist immer ein elektives Behandlungsverfahren. Ob man einen Patienten überhaupt an der Schulter operiert, hängt von der Diagnose ab; ob man dann den Gelenkersatz zur Rekonstruktion wählt, hängt aber sicher von der freien Entscheidung von Arzt und Patient ab. Die Anforderungen an die Sicherheit des Eingriffs und an das Ergebnis sind daher hoch.
