Prostaglandin metabolites in unstable angina pectoris patients

Predisposing Conditions for Acute Ischemic Syndromes

Abstract

Thromboxane A2 is the principle metabolite of arachidonic acid in platelets. It stimulates platelet activation and is hydrolyzed rapidly (half-life time of 30s) to the inactive product thromboxane B 2.
