Zusammenfassung
„Wer Wissen hat, verläuft sich nirgends“, sagt ein jiddisches Sprichwort. Es drückt aus, daß wir ohne die Verfügbarkeit und Abrufbarkeit von erlerntem Verhalten und Wissen völlig hilflos wären. Menschen mit schweren Gedächtnisstörungen, z. B. Patienten, die an der Alzheimer Erkrankung leiden, verlieren im Spätstadium jede persönliche, zeitliche und örtliche Orientierung.
