Zusammenfassung
Im Rahmen der experimentellen Epilepsieforschung steht seit vielen Jahren das Problem der Krampfentstehung im Mittelpunkt des Interesses. Daher sollen in einem ersten Kapitel zunächst einige neuere Ergebnisse zu diesem Themenkreis kurz skizziert werden. Ein weiterer Forschungsschwerpunkt der Epileptologie ist auf die Elektrogenese der Krampfpotentiale an der Cortexoberflache gerichtet. Diese Fragestellung, die von unmittelbarem klinischen Interesse ist, wird in einem zweiten Abschnitt behandelt. Anschließend wird zur Frage der Krampfbeendigung Stellung genommen, die bisher in der experimentellen Epilepsieforschung vergleichsweise wenig Beachtung gefunden hat.
