Abstract
This chapter contains some topics of practical nature encountered when dealing with large sets of orientations The first one is related to the calculation of the mean orientation Later on, a very elementary introduction to some standard distributions on the rotation manifold is given Moreover, the computer generation of orientations with a foreknown distribution is considered Finally, there is a very brief section on comparing orientation distributions.
