Zusammenfassung

Die Implantation von hochgereinigtem bovinen Kollagen bietet die Möglichkeit , fehlendes oder beschädigtes körpereigenes Kollagen zu ersetzen. Die gegenwärtig verwendeten Präparate sind nach der Injektion lagestabil und induzieren die Besiedelung durch körpereigene Bindegewebszellen. Früher verwendete Präparate hatten den Nachteil von häufigen Fremdkörperreaktionen und tropften zum Teil in andere Geweberegionen ab. Voraussetzung für die geringe Antigenität der derzeit verwendeten Materialien soll die enzymatische Abspaltung der N- bzw. C-terminalen Peptidketten sein.
