Zusammenfassung
Der 46-jährige Herr M. ist an einer schweren depressiven Störung erkrankt. Er wird in eine psychiatrische Klinik aufgenommen und erfolgreich pharmako- und psychotherapeutisch behandelt. Nach der Entlassung kehrt Herr M. an seinen Arbeitsplatz als Diplomingenieur zurück. Doch schon bald stellen sich erneut Probleme ein. Obwohl Herr M. weitgehend ausgeglichener Stimmung ist, fällt es ihm schwer, sich auf seine Tätigkeit zu konzentrieren. Die Namen neuer Kunden der Firma kann er sich kaum merken. Den Arbeitskollegen fällt insbesondere auf, dass Herr M. außergewöhnlich viel Zeit dafür benötigt, sich auf neue Arbeitsschritte einzustellen. Da Herr M. sein Arbeitspensum nicht termingerecht schafft, ist sein Chef unzufrieden. Herr M. fühlt sich unter Druck gesetzt und verursacht in der Folge wiederholt Fehler. Er entwickelt erneut starke Selbstzweifel und ist bald darauf zu einer strukturierten Arbeit mit festen Arbeitszeiten nicht mehr in der Lage. Sechs Monate nach Wiederaufnahme seiner Tätigkeit wird Herr M. erneut in die psychiatrische Klinik aufgenommen.
