Abstract

Retinal dialyses have been observed in chronic pars planitis as a result of cyclitic membrane contraction1 in retinal detachment following penetrating ocular wounds2,3 and after pars plana vitrectomy. Most cases, however, occur either after ocular contusion or as a primary disease in young individuals. In this chapter we shall only consider traumatic and idiopathic dialyses.
