Zusammenfassung

Einer der wesentlichen Vorteile schmalbandiger Laser für die Spektroskopie gasförmiger Medien liegt in der Möglichkeit, die Begrenzung der spektralen Auflösung infolge der Doppler-Breite der Spektrallinien durch Anwendung verschiedener Techniken zu überwinden. Die meisten dieser Techniken basieren auf der selektiven Sättigung atomarer bzw. molekularer Übergänge. Die Besetzungsdichte der absorbierenden Niveaus wird durch die Absorption der einfallenden Laserstrahlung verringert, so daß die absorbierte Leistung selbst in nichtlinearer Weise von der einfallenden Laserintensität abhängt. Man spricht daher auch von nichtlinearer Laserspektroskopie. Wir wollen im Folgenden die wichtigsten nichtlinearen Techniken behandeln.
