Zusammenfassung

Bei jeder Untersuchung mit ionisierenden Strahlen sind mögliche unerwünschte Nebenwirkungen zu beachten. Der Gesetzgeber verpflichtet die Betreiber von Röntgenanlagen und Störstrahlern zur Einhaltung der Röntgen-verordnung (RÖV) bzw. der Strahlenschutzverordnung (StrlSchV) beim Umgang mit radioaktiven Stoffen und beim Betreiben von Anlagen zur Erzeugung von ionisierenden Strahlen. Mit diesen Verordnungen soll der Schutz vor somatischen (z. B. Radiodermatitis), genetischen bzw. teratogenen und karzinogenen Strahlenschäden gewährleistet werden. Da für die radiologische Diagnostik der Bewertungsfaktor q dem Wert 1 entspricht, kann die Äquivalentdosis in Sievert (Sv) der Energiedosis in Gray (Gy) gleichgesetzt werden (Tabelle 5-1).
