Zusammenfassung

Für die EEG-Veränderungen sind in erster Linie die Lokalisation und Ausbreitung der entziindlichen Erkrankung von Bedeutung. Maßgebend ist, in welchem Umfang die weiße und die graue Substanz des Hirns betroffen werden (Gloor et al. 1968; s. Abb. 11.1). Bei einem Befall der grauen Substanz ist der EEG-Befund davon abhängig, ob vorherrschend die Hirnrinde oder in besonderem Maße subkortikale Kerngebiete erkranken.
