Zusammenfassung

Den meisten zerebralen ischämischen Insulten liegt eine Arteriosklerose der hirnversorgenden Arterien und/oder eine ischämische Herzerkrankung zugrunde. Der Bekämpfung der Risikofaktoren der Arteriosklerose kommt daher eine grundlegende Bedeutung zu. Die wichtigsten Risikofaktoren sind in Tabelle 61.1 dargestellt.
