Abstract

The Fe-Be diagram in Fig.7 is the one published by Aldinger and Petzow [1] except for the solid solubility of Fe in Be. It is a revised version of a diagram proposed by Hansen [A]. The solubility of Fe in α(Be) has been calculated using data reported by Myers and Smugeresky [2], Hammond et al. [3], Donze et al. [4], Jacobson and Hammond [5] and Gelles et al. [6] and is represented in Fig. 8.
