Zusammenfassung
Mit der Aromatenchemie begann der Aufschwung der industriellen organischen Chemie in der Mitte des 19.Jahrhunderts. Die Aromatenchemie hat seitdem eine stete Weiterentwicklung erfahren, die von zahlreichen Innovationen getragen wurde. Nach den Farbstoffen und Heilmitteln folgten als Hauptinnovationen Kunststoffe und Pflanzenschutzmittel.
