Abstract

Germanium molybdenum oxide hydrates are not known but heteropoly compounds are easily formed. The molybdogermanates often adopt the “Keggin type” structure first reported by Keggin for the 12-tungstophosphoric acid [1]. A modern introduction to the structure and chemistry of heteropoly compounds is given by Pope [2]. Older data are given in “Molybdän”, 1935, pp. 375/6.
