Abstract
Although flexibility is now the aim, several of the installations in this section are not flexible. Nevertheless, they represent good examples of automation in areas where the high volume output justifies a dedicated approach. In some cases, the installations give an indication of the flexibility to come, with a robot being used for palletising, or some other flexible equipment being installed.
