Evozierte Potentiale

Zusammenfassung

Evozierte Potentiale gehören in der klinischen Neurologie zur Routine und haben sich bei der Diagnose einer Vielzahl von Erkrankungen bewährt. Aussagen über den Wert der Methode in der Intensivmedizin sind dagegen vergleichsweise selten. Da die klinische Untersuchung des bewußtseinsgetrübten oder bewußtlosen Patienten auf viele sonst erhebbare Parameter verzichten muß, besteht hier ein verstärkter Bedarf an Methoden, welche Rückschlüsse auf die Hirnfunktion erlauben. Dabei haben Messungen multimodal evozierter Potentiale die größte Bedeutung erlangt, da sie ohne großen apparativen Aufwand am Bett durchgeführt werden können und zuverlässige Ergebnisse liefern (Stöhr et al. 1991).
