Abstract
This chapter discusses the problem of interaction among crystals in a polycrystalline material. The chosen strategy is to present experiments and simulations of textures in two-phase materials. By comparison of the fine texture structure with the simulated results some clues are obtained about the behavior of phase mixtures in relation with crystal shape, crystal symmetry, volume fraction, etc. A co-spin interaction scheme is presented and incorporated in self consistent models as a way to include dislocation arrays in texture simulations. The influence of dislocation structures over texture development and the needs for better models for X-ray diffraction pattern analysis are discussed.
