Zusammenfassung
Bei jeder Form von Gelenkschmerzen erhebt sich zunächst die Frage, ob diese artikulär, ossär oder periartikulär lokalisiert sind (vgl. Abb. 2-3). Oft läßt sich diese Frage bereits klinisch, insbesondere palpatorisch entscheiden (s. S. 14). Nicht selten aber sind Zusatzuntersuchungen wie ein Röntgenbild oder eine Szintigraphie erforderlich, um eine Differenzierung vornehmen zu können. Wenn die artikuläre Genese gesichert ist, sind die Art der Gelenkerkrankung und ihre mögliche Ursache näher zu erforschen (vgl. Abb. 2-2), allerdings gelingt dies nicht immer, denn nicht selten gehen Gelenkschmerzen anscheinend ohne ein faßbar pathologisches Substrat einher. Dieser Zustand wird als Arthralgie oder simplifizierend als „Gelenkempfindlichkeit“ bezeichnet.
