Zusammenfassung
Die Aufrechterhaltung der Integrität der Magenschleimhaut unter der schädigenden Einwirkung des Mageninhalts hängt vom komplizierten Gleichgewicht einer großen Anzahl von Faktoren ab, die die Schleimhautschutzmechanismen kontrollieren, z.B. der Sekretion von alkalischem Schleim, der Hydrophobizität der Schleimhaut, der ausreichenden Blutversorgung, der Erhaltung von Sulfhydryl-Gruppen, der raschen Regeneration von Epithelzellen, der Proliferation der Schleimhautzellen sowie der Reparatur des Gewebes.
