Abstract

The bulk diffusion of gold into rhodium in thin films has been studied by [13]. Do was found to be 4.2 x 10−11 cm2/s and Q=0.93±0.28 eV. The bulk diffusion coefficients are plotted against reciprocal temperature in Fig. 173. The authors point out that these values of Q and Do are lower than would be expected for lattice diffusion in face-centred cubic metals, and may not be applicable to bulk material.
