Abstract

Information about diversity, distribution and utilization of native palms in Bolivia is provided along with basic data on production of and human impact on four palm species: Attalea phalerata (motacú), Euterpe precatoria (asai), Geonoma deversa (jatata) and Parajubaea sunkha (sunkha). Relevant management criteria are presented in the Bolivia context.
