Zusammenfassung

Die Bruch-Membran ist als Grenzschicht zwischen dem retinalen Pigmentepithel und der Choriokapillaris zentral in die Altersveränderungen der Makula involviert. Sie entwickelt individuell charakteristische Altersveränderungen mit spezifischen Ablagerungen (sog. Dru-sen), die für die visusmindernden Komplikationen der altersabhängigen Makuladegeneration ursächlich sind.
